According to the National Retail Federation, total spending for Mother’s Day this year is expected to reach $20.7 billion. In addition, consumers will spend an average of $168.94 on mom, an increase of 11 percent from 2012.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - March 18, 2013 – Your Better Business Bureau set a milestone and concluded 2012 having provided over 1 million instances of service to local consumers and businesses. On a national level, consumers asked BBB for help more than 180 million times in 2012, a 27 percent increase from 142.5 million times in 2011, and the highest rate in the organization’s 100-year history.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – March 4, 2013 – In a recent study conducted by the Federal Trade Commission, it was found that one in five consumers had an error on at least one of their three major credit reports. In addition, one in four of these consumers were able to identify errors that might affect their overall credit scores. As a result of this study, the Better Business Bureau is urging consumers to check their credit reports on a regular basis for potential errors to avoid putting their pocketbooks and financial health at risk.
